Hello my name is Ashley Maeshiro. I am a product of Glendale Unified School District, having been in the district since I was in 5th grade. I am very happy to be apart of the district once more. I attended California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI), where I earned my Bachelorettes of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in art. During this time I traveled to China and Tibet as a scholar focusing on anthropology and archeology. A year later I went to Australia, again as a scholar, focusing on diplomacy. My most recent trip took me back to Washington DC where I was able to witness history in the making, seeing President Obama take the oval office. Upon my graduation from CSUCI I attended Azusa Pacific University where I earned my teaching credential in special education mild moderate and my masters in education. My last adventure was scheduled for this past summer (2011). I was in Florida, more specifically Key Largo, where I worked at an animal therapy center and the animal I got to work with were dolphins! I had a wonderful time (as evident from that wet kiss above). Currently I am planing a trip to Costa Rica...stay posted =)
I enjoy teaching at Roosevelt Middle School and am happy to be apart of the Rough Riders Family.
