Mr. Canfield returns to Roosevelt this year, 2010-11 as an Assistant Principal.  Previously, he was honored enough to be a student at our middle school, and a Physical Education teacher in the late 1970's.  He returns after being an Assistant Principal at Wilson Middle School for the last 6 years. 

 

Mr. Canfield possesses a long and experienced career with Glendale Unified School.  He has served as a teacher at Daily High, Roosevelt Middle School and Crescenta Valley High School for 22 years.  At Crescenta Valley, he taught Health, Math and Physical Eduction.  He was the Athletic Director for 10 years, Dean of Students and Assistant Principal before leaving the school in 1997.  He was also a Coordinator II in the Office of Student Support Services at the district office for seven years before going back to Wilson to become a site administrator.  He now joins the Roosevelt team and looks forward to being a part of the changing of our school, both with a new facility and academically as well.
